I would like to take the time and opportunity to wish the Beechmont Neighborhood a Happy New Year. I would like to send my warmest regards to those neighbors who have supported me and the Beechmont Neighborhood Association, during my presidency and recently regarding the concerns of voting. The personal emails, welcoming home visit, and supportive encouragement , validate that we as neighbors can agree to disagree without losing respect for one another. I realize leading community work can be challenging. I cannot hold others accountable for their actions nor redirect their moral compass for the betterment of our association. We must understand that lies, false accusations, and tarnishing someone's character in a malicious way isn't neighborly. Nevertheless, my past experiences, volunteer work on various committees, organizing special events, and serving on the board for more than 8 years, has earned me my Beechmont stripes. If you know me, I intend to proudly hold my head high in the Beechmont Community. I've been in contact with the newly elected board and plan to have a smooth transition regarding banking, and membership account access. I wish nothing but the best for our community and those who have been elected to represent it. In 2025, the B.N.A. achieved the largest and most profitable annual Festival of Flowers, held an amazing Easter Egg Hunt, at the Iroquois Library. The B.N.A. also received donated property from the L&N credit union (which is their rear parking lot across the alley). We recently had the opportunity to donate 2,000.00 to a family that was in need for Christmas. We reinstated the Holiday on the Corner (Light Up Beechmont). Money and food donated to the StrEatry for the annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner. I have no doubt that continued success will follow this board. If the neighborhood is considered a priority in all aspects, yesterday's issues are gone. Today we encourage unity and putting our best efforts forward for this wonderful community. Respectfully PJ Ray, |
